Official GED Test

Ohio recognizes the GED examination as being the equivalent of a high school diploma.  Like a regular high school diploma, the GED diploma enables the holder the opportunity to obtain employment, apply for career advancement, pursue higher education goals, or to reach a personal goal.

You must be at least 19 years of age in order to take the test. If you are between the ages of 16-18, you must contact your local superintendent’s office. The fee for the test is $65 unless you have taken and passed the Official GED Practice Test. Individuals who pass the practice test are issued a fee waiver.

The Official GED Test is administered at the Linden McKinley Annex. All GED testing is done by appointment only. Please call 614-365-5200 for further information or to make an appointment.
