POLICIES
For students entering Adult Workforce Education
courses, the Customer Services office provides career counseling and
short-term personal supportive services. Information, referral to
community resources and long-term assistance are also available.
Transitional services for currently enrolled full-time students
include job search assistance, resume writing, interviewing skills
training, general work ethics counseling, and other employability
skills.
Any adult, 18 years of age or older, may apply for
courses. A high school diploma or GED is required for acceptance
into some courses or programs. Persons holding a diploma from another country
must have their education evaluated for U.S. equivalency. A list of
companies providing this service may be obtained from the Customer
Services office. Please check the course description for
pre-requisites or special requirements for each course.
Columbus City Schools does not discriminate because

is applicable in all district programs and activities.
Weather/Emergency Closings
If the Columbus City Schools is closed for snow or
other emergencies, our adult classes will not meet. Check local
broadcasts for school closings.

Education Courses
General Guidelines:
With the exception of online courses, applications and registrations
are processed at 2323 Lexington Avenue in the Customer Services
office.
Apply to the program or course: Complete and submit an
application form available from Customer Services office or on our
website, along with any required
documentation. Check the course description to make sure you have
completed the necessary pre-requisites.
Register for the course: In most cases, if all
required documentation and pre-requisites are approved, the
application may be submitted and registration completed at the same
time.
