Every residential
and commercial building in central Ohio has some type of heating or air
conditioning system. Technicians are in high demand. This comprehensive
course will prepare you for entry-level employment in the HVAC industry as a
technician and/or installer.
According to the
U.S. Department of Labor, the median starting hourly wage for HVAC
technicians ranges from $16.80 to $19.51 per hour. Job prospects are
expected to be excellent, particularly for graduates from an accredited
school, and demands for HVAC technicians are expected to increase faster
than the average for all occupations through 2014.
The course will
cover electrical and refrigeration theory, design, installation, operation
and troubleshooting of all types of heating, ventilation and cooling
systems.
Certification
testing is done throughout the program using the ESCO HVAC Excellence
battery of tests. Certification testing includes EPA, Electric, Gas, and
R410A.
Textbooks and tools
are included in the cost of the program. Financial aid may be available to

or High School Diploma
