Nurse Aides perform routine tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. Nurse Aides are responsible for general patient care, vital signs, equipment/supply maintenance, and assisting medical staff. Many positions are available locally and nationally for Nurse Aides in nursing homes, clinics, home health care, hospitals, and private duty. First Aid and CPR for Healthcare Providers certifications are included in the program and are required for passage of the course.

The textbook is optional for this course. Textbook information will be given the first night of class. Additional expenses include uniform, duty shoes, uniform patch, a watch with a second hand, and background check. The state certification test is required for passage of the course. Financial aid may be available to those who qualify. Pre-requisite: Passing scores on the WorkKeys Test.
