Stationary
Engineering is designed to prepare students for the “High Pressure Boiler
Operator” or “Stationary Engineer” license exam. The course covers boilers,
boiler design and construction, boiler safety devices, boiler operation and
maintenance, fuels and combustion, pumps, pollution control equipment,
auxiliary equipment, steam turbines, condensers and cooling towers, math and
formulas, and Ohio licensing laws. Hands-on operating experience will
further prepare students for the exams. The course is offered as demand
